Life-Change
Introduction
First off, I just want to welcome you and let you know that I appreciate the opportunity to work with you. I hope that at some point in my content, I'm able to say something or show something that really lights a spark in you to believe in yourself and pushes you to go for it. I'm putting out my heart and doing my best to equip you with things I've learned and things that have helped me. I'm pushing for greatness, and I want the same thing for you! I started doing this to achieve two goals: do great things and help others along the way. So let’s get to the business!
Defining Life-Change
This is our definition of Life-Change: an intentional shift in a positive direction. Life-Change is any positive change we can make in any area of our lives.
Whether big or small, there comes a point when you know you need a change. You might be pushed to your absolute limit, working too much with little time for yourself, or you might need to change locations. You might want to move. You might be unhappy with the path your kids are taking. You might need a new church or a new group of friends.
Embracing Change
In life, whether we want it to be or not, change is constant. The best thing we can do is learn how to get in front of it, recognize when it’s time, set our intention, and execute the actions necessary to see it through. This way, we make positive changes ahead of time, allowing less room for negative changes to force themselves into our lives.
One way or another, things will change. You don’t want to wait until a doctor gives you a terrible diagnosis to start eating healthy or exercising. You don’t want to wait until you get evicted to start actively pursuing a greater income. Intentional life-change is about getting out in front of things and taking control of what we can control. Either we change for the better now, or we will be forced to face the negative consequences of a lack of positive change later.
The Importance of Growth
Being able to change and grow is essential for improving your life and creating a positive relationship between your reality and your potential. You know what your potential is. In any given area, there’s always more. I want the most out of life in every aspect.
That’s what this course is about—getting a thorough understanding of what goes into change and how we implement the tools necessary to make that change. This is about improvement. It’s about becoming the person we choose to become. Intended change.
The Power of Intention
Intention is a powerful word. Whether you realize it or not, you are the person you intend to be. Most of us are just not aware of our intentions. Unconscious intentions lead us to become what society conditions us to be. Conscious intention allows you to take control.
Nailing down what you want to change and making it your intention puts the ball back in your court. Start with things you can control and watch it snowball.
Components of Life-Change
In my book, NVR Settle, I mentioned that life-change consists of three components: Worth, Mindset, and Lifestyle. This is true, but to get a thorough understanding of change, I’ve expanded this idea with two other components that can help us achieve the life-change we desire:
- Ownership
- Responsibility
These words may seem heavy, but we're talking about some heavy stuff here. We're talking about where you are and where you want to be. These components fill that gap. They are the bridge you cross to make it.
Taking Care of Yourself
If you’re going to be intentional about any change, you must be intentional about taking care of yourself within these five components. In this course, we’ll develop a deep understanding of each component of change and its importance. We’ll also spend time discussing how we can easily implement the positive actions necessary in each of these components to make it all worth it. We need to get that positive perspective.
Let's Make Life-Change!
If you’re ready to learn, let’s get straight to it and make some LIFE-CHANGE!
Understanding the 5 Components of Life-Change
Now that you know there are 5 Components of Life-Change, understand this: these components make up any positive change in our lives. They will always come in a specific order, whether consciously or unconsciously. The 5 Components work in this order:
1. Worth
2. Ownership
3. Responsibility
4. Mindset
5. Lifestyle
Let me explain why they come in this order.
1. Worth
Worth comes first. To make any positive change, you must first believe that you deserve better than your current unsatisfactory situation. This is your perceived worth. You must see another potential outcome for yourself and believe it’s possible. If you don’t believe you deserve better, you’ll stay where you are, resulting in no positive change.
For example, an addict must first believe they deserve better before admitting they have a problem. Without this belief, they won’t see their current situation as a problem. This principle applies to all areas of life, whether it’s a job you hate, a bad relationship, or a fitness goal. You must believe you deserve better.
2. Ownership
Ownership comes second. After recognizing your worth, you must take ownership of your current situation and your life. This means accepting where you are, where you’ve been, the people who left you, the mistakes you’ve made—everything. This is empowering because it allows you to say, “This is my life. Now watch what I do with it.”
You are responsible for your life. If you’ve been living aimlessly, your life reflects the influences you’ve encountered. But once you take ownership, you can begin the process of change. You are not a victim. Take control.
3. Responsibility
Responsibility is the third component. After realizing you deserve better and taking ownership of your life, you must take responsibility for your actions and outcomes. Living intentionally means you’re responsible for taking the necessary steps toward your goals.
For example, an addict who acknowledges their problem must then take responsibility to seek help and make changes. Similarly, an overweight woman who realizes she deserves better health must take responsibility for her choices and begin making healthier decisions.
4. Mindset
Mindset is the fourth component. This is where you begin to think differently. You become conscious of your thoughts and feed your mind with information that builds you up. This is where you start living with intention and going in the direction you choose.
Every achievement starts with a thought. By building a positive mindset, you create thoughts that lead to actions, which then compile to produce a lifestyle.
5. Lifestyle
Lifestyle is the fifth and final component. Wherever you are, you have a lifestyle. The goal is to create a lifestyle of intentional actions that lead to desired outcomes. Your lifestyle should reflect what you want to achieve in life.
Once you know your worth, take ownership of your life, accept responsibility for your actions, and cultivate a positive mindset, your mindset will produce the actions that make up your lifestyle. This is where thoughts become actions. Your lifestyle determines your success.
Now that you understand these components, you can see how they are crucial to your life. By focusing on Worth, Ownership, Responsibility, Mindset, and Lifestyle, you can create intentional positive changes.
Let’s move on to the next section to make these concepts more practical and actionable.
Taking Control
Before we dive into the deep work, let's set the stage with some perspective and guidance. The key here is taking conscious control of your life.
The Challenge and Possibility
Changing deeply ingrained beliefs and actions is one of the most difficult things to do, but it is possible. No matter your age or circumstances, you have the power to influence yourself in the way you see fit to accomplish your goals.
Becoming Who You Want to Be
The goals you want to achieve are accomplished by the person you want to become. It’s likely that this future version of yourself moves through life differently than you do now. So be intentional about moving differently.
Key Actions:
- Become conscious of your thoughts and actions.
- Recognize and acknowledge beliefs that don’t serve your goals.
- Change those beliefs to align with the person you want to become.
Focus on What You Can Control
There are circumstances outside of our control, but that’s not our focus here. We’re talking about taking control of what you can: your beliefs, the narrative inside your mind, and your actions.
Impact of Taking Control:
- As you change, your external circumstances will change with you.
- The more control you have over your actions and beliefs, the less unexpected challenges will catch you by surprise.
Course Structure
In each part of this course, focused on each of the components individually, there will be a section dedicated to taking control. This is where you can put your understanding into action.
Next Steps
If you’re ready to start some deep reflection, discovery, and learning, let's move forward by developing Worth. Let’s get to it!
Developing Worth
At the Worth level, you’re not just dealing with thoughts; you’re dealing with deeply held beliefs about yourself and your life. These beliefs influence how we allow people to treat us, how we treat ourselves, and what we demand from life.
The Challenge of Beliefs
Beliefs are some of the most challenging things to change because many of them started when we were kids and have anchored themselves in our minds and worldviews.
It’s evident when you see kids who were neglected growing up, often ending up with low self-esteem later in life. But there is hope for all of us. Some of us need help, some of us are proactive, and some never change a thing.
Being Proactive
Hopefully, you’re ready to be proactive, and I can at least be a spark in your journey to help light the path. Wondering if you’re ready to be proactive? By listening to me build you up and offer new perspectives, you’re already being proactive.
When you start developing great worth in yourself, you may realize just how much negative influence you’ve encountered in your life. The craziest thing is that most of this negative influence is considered normal. We end up stuck in jobs we don’t like, working too much, tired, overwhelmed with bills, and with little time or money left to enjoy ourselves. Aimless, without passion or hope. That’s what most people consider normal.
Seeking Fulfillment
I’m not advocating for a life of leisure without problems. That’s not real life. If someone is promising that, you might as well back away. I’m talking about living a fulfilling life, which does take work, sacrifices, and failures.
Key Insight:
- You deserve a life that makes you happy. Period.
Entitlement and laziness will keep fulfillment far away. The problem with what society considers normal is that it’s often miserable. Families are split apart, spouses work long hours, and there’s little time for meaningful connection or purpose. This cycle continues until retirement, often leaving people too tired to enjoy it fully.
Breaking the Cycle
If that’s normal, I do not want it! Life should have greater purpose, no matter the job or income. If you believe you can do better in any area, then you can. It all lies within the power of your belief. Do you have enough faith to make it happen?
We all have different starting points. Some were encouraged to be entrepreneurs, some to be normal, and some were told they wouldn’t amount to anything. The influences we’ve encountered shape our perceived worth. Now it’s time to reverse negative conditioning and find new ways to influence ourselves positively.
Taking Control
By taking control of your view of yourself, your potential, and your worth, you’re taking control of your life. Most of the time, we get what we believe we’re worth. This realization blew my mind when I started thinking that way.
Testing Your Worth:
- How well do your peers treat you?
- Do they respect you or talk down to you?
- The way they treat you is what you allow, based on what you demand.
If you believe you’re worth more, demand more from yourself and others.
Building Greater Worth
I hope I’ve instilled a greater sense of worth in you. I believe the best in you because I believe the best in me. We are equal, capable of great things. I want the same for you. You can do this.
Steps to Take Control:
1. Find Your Mentors:
- Spend time with people who truly have your back.
- Ideally, parents should be mentors, but if that’s not the case, look for mentors elsewhere.
- Books, podcasts, and audiobooks are excellent sources of mentorship.
- Characteristics of a great mentor:
- Unbiased
- Truly concerned with your well-being
- Unselfish
- Successful in the relevant area
- A great listener
- Vulnerable
- Committed to you
2. Mental Notes of Inner Dialogue:
- Pay attention to how you talk to yourself.
- Start noting the narrative in your mind, especially when trying something new or making a mistake.
3. Affirmations:
- Replace negative self-talk with positive affirmations.
- Repeating positive statements can change your belief about yourself.
- “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” — Henry Ford
- Recommended reading: *As A Man Thinketh* by James Allen.
4. Remove Negativity:
- Control your atmosphere and keep it positive.
- Distance yourself from negative content, environments, and people.
5. Positive Passion:
- Take on a positive passion and hold yourself to it.
- Build small achievements and pick up small wins.
- Check out my course, *Intention*, for help with finding your passion or vision.
6. Be Grateful:
- See life as an opportunity and be grateful for it.
- This outlook will brighten your day and help you move forward with a positive attitude.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to building worth and value in yourself. This process takes time and grit. If you’re willing to fight for yourself, you already know you’re worth fighting for. Try different things, learn, and experiment. That’s what this is all about.
I can guide you, but ultimately, it’s up to you to find the missing pieces. You just have to get started!
Taking Ownership
Ownership should be considered a permanent mindset that encourages positive change. For the purpose of understanding its importance, we’re highlighting it as a standalone component. It is absolutely essential for making meaningful changes in your life.
Accepting and Owning Your Life
Accepting and owning your life can sometimes be painful. Some situations are directly caused by your thoughts and actions, while others are influenced by external factors. Regardless of the cause, you are where you are, and you can’t change the past. But you can change the present, which will shape your future.
It’s up to you to accept your current situation and own it. There’s no guilt or shame in this—what matters is that you have the power to change what you don’t like. When it comes to achieving an ideal life, you must believe that if anybody can, you can. People everywhere are making accomplishments, and so can you.
The Importance of Ownership
Before you can make the changes you want, you need to own where you’re at. Your actions or lack thereof might not be the only reasons for your current situation, but it doesn’t change the fact that you are responsible for it. No one will come and change it for you. This requires honesty with yourself.
Owning your future takes power away from external sources. If you are accountable for your future, then your present actions matter more. If you have big intentions for your future, your current ownership of your life should reflect that.
Steps to Take Ownership
1. Make an Assessment
- Deeply assess your life.
- Note all the things you like and don’t like.
- Identify areas for improvement, whether financial, social, or personal.
- Remember the phrase, “The first step to overcoming a problem is admitting that you have one.” By addressing problems, you take power back and put it within your control.
2. Honesty
- Honesty within the confines of Ownership is crucial.
- We like to feel right and justify our stories to maintain that feeling.
- Brutal honesty with yourself is necessary, even if it’s hard.
- Example: If you want to work out but say, “I don’t have time,” be honest and acknowledge that you have the same 24 hours as everyone else. Admit that you don’t want it bad enough to make sacrifices.
- Lies of justification may feel good temporarily, but they harm your identity in the long run. Be honest.
3. Be Solution-Minded
- Train yourself to find solutions in every situation.
- Don’t look for a way out; address what you can do and take action.
- Don’t sweep issues under the rug or ignore them. Take control and own them.
Just like dealing with Worth, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution to taking Ownership. It’s primarily a stance of the mind. Take that stance, and you’ll be empowered to make the changes you want in your life. When you begin to own your present and future, you’ll make progress in every situation. And progress is growth—that’s what it’s all about!
Being Responsible
Just like Ownership, Responsibility should be a permanent part of the mindset that encourages positive change. For the purpose of understanding its importance and really nailing it down, it stands alone as a necessary component of change.
The Essence of Responsibility
Now that you’ve taken Ownership of your life, you are responsible for what you do next and where you end up. This means that nobody can dictate the outcomes in your life except you. The way you enforce your will on your life is by enforcing Responsibility.
You are responsible for your thoughts, actions, outcomes, perspective, relationships, and your life. Nobody will come and give you all the answers, or bring you a million dollars. If you’ve got an Intention for your life, it’s on you to see it through.
Reclaiming Your Power
These concepts should be obvious, but they’re not what society teaches us. We need to reclaim the power each of us holds. It may seem like higher powers in this world want us weak and dependent, but you don’t have to be that.
Key Insight:
- By taking this course, realizing your Worth, and taking Ownership, you’re gaining power. What comes after power? Responsibility.
The Superpower Analogy
Imagine this: You are the only one in the world with a superpower that allows you to freeze giant objects in their place. A giant rock is falling from space headed towards Earth. The rock is so big, if it hits Earth, it will wipe out every living thing. Whose responsibility is it to freeze the rock before it hits Earth? It’s your responsibility because only you have the power.
It’s the same with your life. It’s your responsibility to make changes in your life because you, and you alone, have the power to do so.
- “With great power comes great responsibility.”
Enhancing Responsibility
1. Take Action
There are things that can be done right here and now in your life that are within your control and will ultimately benefit you or someone else. Take action immediately. It’s your responsibility. This will empower you to accept the permanent view of Responsibility that’s necessary for change.
2. Make It a Habit
Not only should you take action immediately, but you should also start addressing all things that need to be addressed immediately as they come up. When something needs to be done that is within your power to do, get it done.
3. Hold Yourself Accountable
This is very similar to honesty. When a situation arises or becomes evident through reflection, acknowledge that there is probably something you can do. Don’t let yourself off the hook. Do it.
These tips are simple but powerful. There are many more things you can do, but exercising Ownership and Responsibility is very similar. Just like Ownership, Responsibility is mostly a stance of the mind. The main goal here is to get used to being proactive and realizing that you are responsible for your life and your actions.
Developing Mindset
Developing your Mindset is crucial for everyone, regardless of their walk of life. All the components we’ve discussed are important, but Mindset is especially significant.
The Power of Mindset
Our whole presence in this world as individuals starts in our minds. The way we view the world, ourselves, and the things we think about determines the actions we take. These actions shape the outcomes in our lives and influence the impact we have on others. This, in turn, affects culture and humanity as a whole. It all starts with the mind. That’s why Mindset is so important.
Key Insight:
- Every thought is a piece of the puzzle of action.
- Every action is a piece of the puzzle of your presence here on earth.
- Every personal presence on earth is a piece of the puzzle of culture.
- Every culture is a piece of the puzzle of humanity as a whole.
In its most dramatic example, your thoughts have the power to impact all of humanity.
The Effect of Mindset
Our Mindset determines how we see and treat the world around us. For example, a Mindset of anger might lead to frowning at a bystander, potentially provoking a negative reaction. On the other hand, a sunny disposition might lead to smiling at a stranger, reigniting their hope in humanity. The effects of our Mindset can’t even be calculated.
Key Insight:
- We must cultivate a healthy Mindset.
Influencing Mindset
Since Mindset is so important, the things that influence it should be taken seriously. We must become conscious of the information we consume because it ultimately becomes the content of our minds. We need to filter through things, keeping the good and letting go of the bad.
As you grow older, you should wake up and realize that you have the power to control most of the things that influence you. This is what separates us from animals. Animals think too, but we get to choose what we spend time thinking about.
Taking Control
If you are around negative people, distance yourself. Offer healthy advice, but if they’re unwilling to improve, spend less time around them. If you watch negative shows on TV, you have the option to turn them off. In most cases, we have the power of choice. Exercise that power with extreme care when taking care of your Mindset because Mindset fuels Lifestyle. If you want an ideal Lifestyle different from your current one, be picky about what you allow into your mind.
Enhancing Mindset
1. Books
There are many great books out there. Most people don’t set aside time to read, especially content that would help them grow and evolve. People have been living life for a long time, and many have done it successfully. Some have even written down what they’ve learned for others to benefit from. Whether you’re looking for success in weight loss, relationships, finances, or everything like me, there’s someone who has done it and left their wisdom in books or audiobooks. Soak it up.
2. Media
Media surrounds us. We are constantly being sold to, preached to, and advertised to. We don’t even realize it because we’ve become desensitized. Take control where you can. Follow people and brands that are positive and produce positive input, especially in areas you want to improve. Use the vast amount of information on the internet to feed your positive mindset. Unfollow those who produce negative content.
3. Embrace Growth
View challenges, setbacks, and failures as opportunities for learning, growth, and development. Cultivate a belief in your capacity to adapt, improve, and thrive in the face of adversity. Recognize that setbacks are temporary stepping stones toward success.
4. Be Grateful
Regularly acknowledge and appreciate the blessings, opportunities, and experiences in your life. Shift your focus from what you don’t have to what you do have. You are exactly where you need to be and you have everything you need to get started.
5. Practice Free-Thinking
This is something I wish more people would embrace. Many people mindlessly walk around believing things because they’ve been influenced to do so. Be willing to question why you believe what you do. Pursue the truth and test your thoughts. Be a free-thinker. It allows you to grow and become smarter. Closed-mindedness keeps people stuck in their own bubble for the rest of their lives.
There are many more things you can do to build a positive, productive Mindset. This should be enough to get you thinking from a positive perspective. The rest is up to you. Self-discovery is one of the best things about the journey. Finding what works for you teaches you about yourself. Once you start shifting your Mindset, it will be the foundation to get tactical about what’s next: your actions and lifestyle.
Developing Lifestyle
Finally, you're at the place that displays your external daily life. Up to this point, we’ve been working through the mental and sometimes spiritual approaches to positive, intentional change. Depending on how you look at it, this could be the simplest component of change. This is because your Lifestyle is mostly a result of all the thoughts and beliefs that you hold, and that’s what you’ve worked on leading up to this point.
But here’s the thing: you can think great thoughts all day long, but unless you do something with them, they won’t produce positive results in your life. You’ve got to take action on all the things you’ve been thinking about. The positive things. Take positive action.
Some people like to think that being positive, praying, or having good intentions is enough to produce great results in life. In my experience, very few things have just been handed to me. To keep things within your control, it’s best to expect that you’ll have to go get whatever it is that you’re wanting. If luck happens and you end up getting those things easily, that’s great. But it’s not reliable to count on that happening. The actions you take—those are what you can count on. If you want something, you gotta go get it.
James 2:17
"Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead."
Faith without works is dead.
I said in my song "Hilltops," “If you don’t do your work in faith, there ain’t no part in the sea.”
If you believe in it, work for it. Plain and simple. The measure of your work reflects the measure of your belief. How big are your goals? That’s how big you’ll work if you have the faith that you’ll be able to see it through. If you’re like me, you want greatness in all areas of life. You want to squeeze everything you can out of life. So embrace The Journey and every chapter along the way. Embrace the work you put in. It’s a necessary part of The Journey. That’s the kind of perspective we need.
Taking Control
When I tell you that I’ve tried so many different things, searching to find the most optimal way to enhance my lifestyle, I mean it. I’ve worked on everything from different amounts of sleep, to diets, to exercises, to breathing techniques, cold plunges, and everything in between. I know it’s crazy, but I used to get up at 3 in the morning every day, go to the gym and work out, then go back home, read my Bible, read a book, write music, then record or mix music. And I did all that before I had to leave for my day job at 6:45 AM. So when I say I’ve done a lot of different things, I mean it. Sometimes you just gotta make it work. I don’t do that anymore, but I’m glad I did it when I did.
I stay learning and trying new things because I’m a student. We all need different things, and it’s up to you to figure out the correct mix of activities that optimize your lifestyle.
Remember, you’ve got to be proactive! Don’t look at this as some huge task. Pushing yourself is fun. Take action. You’re gonna learn so much about yourself in the process.
Tips for Taking Control of Your Lifestyle
Routines
This one is extremely important! Especially for people that have jobs that require a lot of their time or people with kids. The more responsibilities you have, the more important routines will be. For me, I don’t believe in settling. I do my best not to compromise in any area of my life, so routines have been a big part of my Journey. Morning and night routines are both important. Once the day begins, you have a lot less control of what comes up. And whatever the day does bring will require your mind being fully present, which means that you most likely won’t be able to focus on your goals. Take care of things that are important to you and require daily attention while you know that you can. For example, I want to read my Bible, read a book, and pray every day. I make that part of my morning routine. I do that before anything else because if I don’t, the day will go by, and before you know it, you didn’t take care of the actions you need to be where you want to be. These actions or lack of actions compile to become the type of person that you are. Fill your routines with those things. Stick to the routines. After a while, with your positive actions in your routines, they’ll become habits. And that all adds up to give you the life you desire—as the person you choose to be.
Prioritize
If you want something to be a part of your life, you have to prioritize it. For example, if you want to make working out a part of your daily activities, you better not leave it up to chance. Write it down. Make it a part of your morning or night routine. At the very least, make it clear when you’re going. Otherwise, the day will get by, and it’ll be too late to go back and take that action. All those missed opportunities add up to staying exactly where you are, or even worse, going backward. If you want to do it, you’ll have to make it a priority. Once you make it a priority, hold yourself to it.
Model
Find somebody that has success in the areas you’d like to be successful and watch the way they navigate their way through that area. Watch the way they speak. Watch the actions they take. Model them. If they’re successful, it’s likely that they know what they’re doing. Do those same things and things that are similar.
Study
This is like modeling, but less specific. Success leaves clues. Any brand or person that is successful in a given area did NOT start out that way. Most people start out with the same problems you have. Reverse engineer their success. What do they do now? And what did they do to get where they are?
Exercise
Whether it’s strength training or cardio, you already know it’s important to stay in shape. In my course, The Whole Human, I talk about your body being a vehicle that takes you from destination to destination. You should check the course out if you haven’t yet. It’s about taking care of the deeper things in life and making those things your daily foundation you build your dream life on. Anyway, your body is a vehicle that takes you from destination to destination. With that in mind, the farther you want to travel in life, the better you need to take care of your vehicle. You gotta take care of your body! Not to mention, exercising has so many benefits that they can’t all be named. To keep it simple, let me name a few: you stay young, physically and mentally. You have greater confidence in yourself for holding yourself to a higher standard. You have confidence in your physical body that you wouldn’t have if you never worked out. It gives you energy to achieve more. It floods your brain with positive energy that fuels your passion.
Eat Healthy
This could mean different things. There are so many different types of foods to eat. There’s so much conflicting information out there today about what’s healthy and what’s not. I’m not gonna get too specific because we want to avoid confusion. By Healthy-Eating, I mostly mean just being conscious and intentional about your diet. You know when you’re eating too much or too little. You know when you’re eating unhealthy foods. Not too much of anything and not too little of anything. Take care of your diet and caloric intake. The way you eat has a lot to do with the way you feel. If you want to achieve great things, you’ll want to feel great. And if you want to feel great, you should eat healthy.
Additional Tips
- Journal
- Hobbies
- Set Goals
You gotta take action! Just like anything else, you can’t fully understand the depths of these activities until you take part in them. You can assume something is for you or not, but until you really try it with an open mind, you can’t know for sure. I actually thought I’d always hate cold plunging or getting up early, but it’s not always the case. That leads me to the next point I’d like to make.
Be Flexible
This is a point of its own because I want you to realize something. I used to be so hard on myself, trying to force myself to live up to the person I was yesterday or the person I wanted to be tomorrow. Over time, I’ve realized that different times call for different actions. This is wisdom! You’ve got to learn to be flexible. In some chapters of my life, I’ve needed to get up at 4 AM. In some, I’ve benefited more from getting up at 5 AM. In some chapters of my life, I’ve needed to set aside an hour daily for prayer. In some, I’ve only needed to prioritize 20 minutes. Sometimes cold plunging is beneficial. Sometimes it’s not. You gotta know yourself. Trust that you’re seeing your goals through. Embrace The Journey as a whole. Do NOT force. Unless it’s time to push. If you know yourself, you know when you’re in flow, and everything has a place. When you’re forcing out of frustration, it’s off. Learn to enjoy the journey.
Find what you need right here, right now, and do what you can. And whatever you can do is enough! As long as you’re giving it everything you’ve got, you’re gonna do great things. I hope I’ve opened your mind and heart through all this.
Work.
Resources
When it comes to being a student of life, there have been several books that have helped me in the ways I think about things. Listen, I don’t necessarily agree with all the information in the books I’ve read or recommend, but they’ve helped expand my mind and perspective in some way. So don’t come at me like, “dude believes in some crazy stuff.” I mostly don’t! If you’re going to become a student of life, you’ve got to become a great filter. Know who you are, know where you stand, and let the content of others help you grow. Take what’s good, and let go of what’s bad. It’s really that simple.

You probably know some that I haven’t mentioned that are just as good or better. I know plenty too, but I’ve found some interesting perspectives in these. And I’d like to believe that my book **NVR Settle** is up there with the best of them!
Alright, next, let’s wrap this course up!
Conclusion
In most cases, your outcomes in life are direct reflections of where you stand with each of these components. Whether it’s in making a change or not, it’s a great practice to be conscious and intentional about your beliefs, thoughts, and actions.
Somewhere along The Journey, when you’re being intentional about making a Life-Change, your identity shifts. You go from being who you were to who you knew you could become. There is a shift in your identity. Instead of losing weight once, you learn the skills to stay fit and become a fit person. Instead of barely scraping by financially, you learn the skills necessary to maintain substantial financial growth and become a financially secure person. You are no longer the type of person that can’t; you are the type of person that can. The Journey builds your character and shapes you.
Hopefully, I’ve given you the perspective and everything you need to make a shift in your life. But just like everything else in life, it all comes down to you. You’ve got to be the one that takes action. If you need a deeper purpose behind your changes or need help finding your Vision or Passion, I got you. The best place for that to fit is right between Responsibility and Mindset. It comes after you’ve taken Ownership and Responsibility for your life and choices, and gears you in a direction that you desire. The direction you choose to go in can help shape your Mindset and Lifestyle. It’s Intention. It’s where you WANT to go with your life and what you want to do. If you need guidance or clarity finding your vision, passion, or purpose, you should consider checking out The Course & Content, Intention. It’s not expensive, and it’s really helpful to have that clarity.
While I hope that I can equip you and lead you in the right direction, my content is less about giving you all the answers and more about provoking you to find that greatness within yourself. I want you to believe in yourself and make the most of your life!
I appreciate you and hope that I’ve helped you!
